Summary:
This project seeks to collaborate with the patient in the relearning of walking through the application of a
set made up of a harness with an upper guide and a system of gyroscopes, which could contribute to the
restoration of balance during the walking phases.
It is proposed to show the progress made in the 2020-2021 period in the gait rehabilitation system,
fundamentally in relation to the design of the backpack containing the gyroscopes and the treadmill
system on which the patient walks. Advances related to the study of different alternatives for the lateral
railings and the footfall and virtual reality recording systems, which complement the space designed for
the rehabilitation, are also exposed. This project already has an exchange agreement between the University
of Buenos Aires, where I direct the research team, and a gait rehabilitation clinic, where the design will be
tested on real patients.
